This substantial renovation occured wholly within the form of the original house thus avoiding the need for a Development Application.
Step 1 with this project was to maximise the volume defined by the existing lean-to – a hollowing out process. The existing floor level was lowered internally and finished in honed concrete.
The new kitchen flanks the party wall and is designed to read as a refined joinery element. Simplicity of materials and a spatial configuration maximise this space.
