Conceptual component design for a new Taipai railway line.
Together with McGregor Partners we conceptualised a kit-of-parts for a new overhead rail line in Taipai City, Taiwan. The project required a consistent and fluid structural viaduct solution that could be adapted to urban, rural and natural landscapes.
Linking over twenty stations, the rail line provides a vital connection between outlying villages, Taipai City Airport and the city heart. Design resolution was critical as the line is elevated and highly visible along its entire length. Our role included the architecture for each station and broad-stroke urban design of their immediate surrounds.
