A bold graphic overlay forms part of our adaptive re-fit that brings this neglected Pyrmont heritage item to life.
Once the home of Australia’s recording industry, the former Festival Records Building in Sydney’s Pyrmont has been redeveloped into lively commercial and retail space.
In a mamoth civil engineering exercise, two levels of parking were excavated into the sandstone below the existing structure.
New building fabric is expressed in stark contrast to the existing cream brick with green glazed embellishments of the ”International Style” building, comprising zinc coloured panels, off form concrete and extensive glazing.
