TETRIS FLATS - DEC.20.2007
Following three strenuous and creative months DRAW have completed Sketch Design and Development Application documents for a large housing project in Camperdown. Dubbed TETRIS FLATS for it’s geometric facade compositions, the project has a total of 107 apartments in three buildings and two ‘galleries’. Some preliminary images can be found on our website under YEAR / 2007 / TETRIS FLATS. Congratulations to the extended team of designers and consultants that worked on the project. Special thanks to Peter Fitzgerald of FBA.

IRON ARCHITECT WORLD ARCHITECTURE DAY - OCT.01.2007
DRAW willingly accepted an invitation to compete against four other teams in this NSW ‘live’ design competition. The scene was intense with a brief demanding work, house, eat and educate solutions for a population density increase of 0.25M people on a CBD site.
A terrific DRAW studio team effort over 4 grueling hours [we are still waiting for our promised book voucher prize].

MARISSA RETURNS FROM A L O N G HOLIDAY IN EUROPE - AUG.27.2007
JIACHEN [TOM] TANG JOINS THE DRAW TEAM - JUL.23.2007
We warmly welcome Tom to the studio. Tom will be running the CAD engine room with a keen interest on detailed design and documentation. No stranger to dense urban living, Tom is originally from Shanghai and came to Australia as the first international student of Architecture at UTS.
Adam first met Tom in design studio at UTS, 1st semester 2007 when coordinating the Urban Ideologies studio. Tom’s work stood out amongst the crowd, particularly his graphic sensibility and his deft hand with materials.
RAFFAELLO ROSSELLI JOINS THE DRAW TEAM - JUL.20.2007
No sooner had he taken his seat… then Raff began to re-built the studio computer network, streamline our software interface and Raffaello was overseas when we head-hunted him after a tip-off from another architect. John and Adam interviewed him the day after he returned and the rest … is history! When Raff is not at DRAW he is either frantically studying for his Degree at the University of Sydney, at an underground ‘Electronic music’ gig in Sydney or blogging.
